Scotch on the Rocks with 5 bedrooms is an exquisite turquoise villa that overlooks the glittering Caribbean Sea. The Jamaica villa is ideally located between two of the most prestigious hotels in Jamaica, the legendary Jamaica Inn and the Royal Plantation 5-star boutique hotel. The villa in Jamaica offers complete privacy, while being only a few minutes away from the lively town of Ocho Rios. The name ‘Scotch on the Rocks’ reflects both the history and location of this luxury five-bedroom villa in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Sitting on the rocks just above the Caribbean Sea, Scotch on the Rocks was originally owned by a Scottish Lord until it was sold in the 1980’s by the Earl of Mansfield. Today, the villa is a Jamaican family owned vacation home but the name and the legacy live on.
‘Scotchie’, as the villa is affectionately called, is ideal for family vacations or romantic getaways. Nestled between two prestigious hotels, Sandals Royal Plantation to the West and Jamaica Inn to the East, the villa has breathtaking views. Although only a few minutes from the town center and near to many attractions and activities, it is extremely private.
From the outside in, Scotch on the Rocks captures Jamaica’s beauty and laid-back vibe. Set amid a brightly colored tropical garden, the villa’s turquoise exterior walls mirror the brilliance of the Caribbean Sea. Inside, the villa’s clean and fresh décor, tastefully accented with Jamaican mahogany furniture, travertine tile floors and intricate fretwork, creates a relaxed atmosphere, sure to soothe the mind, body and soul.

THE VILLA
The villa’s first floor has a living room, dining room, kitchen and two verandas. The verandas are the heart of the villa, each with a view of the sea.
The main veranda flows onto a wooden deck that looks out onto the breadth of the sea. The teak lounge chairs on the veranda or the Adirondack style chairs on the deck are the perfect places to relax, sip on a cool drink and watch boats and seabirds sail along the horizon.
On the other side of the house is the dining veranda, located right beside the kitchen and formal dining area. A treat for all senses, this veranda serves up delicious meals and breathtaking views.
Bedrooms
This two-story villa has five bedrooms. There are three bedrooms upstairs, each with a king size bed and private balcony. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, one having two twin beds and the other having four twin beds, all of which can be converted to king beds on request.
All bedrooms have:
• sea and/or garden views
• en suite bathrooms
• antique Jamaican furniture
• air-conditioning and ceiling fans
• LED flat screen televisions with cable TV
• luxurious and comfortable bed linens, plush duvets and down pillows
THE EXTERIOR
In between the villa’s two verandas is a fresh water swimming pool. Plush, wooden lounge chairs line the edge of the pool, perfect for sun tanning or taking in the expansive view of the sea.
Just a few steps away from the pool deck and in close proximity to the dining veranda is an outdoor barbecue. Perfect for grilling and chilling.
A short walk down stairs from the pool deck leads to the Caribbean Sea and the villa’s private wooden pier and gazebo. Standing on the edge of the pier, the gazebo offers a respite from the sun in the day and a romantic spot to watch the sunset in the afternoon
Resting on the pristine Caribbean Sea, Scotch on the Rocks is a swimmer’s paradise. Beside the pier is a shallow, sandy alcove that gives easy access to the sea. Protected by a reef, the water is so clear that on a calm day you can see the sandy bottom
Scotchie’s garden blooms with exotic, tropical flowers and orchids. In the garden, under the tall, shady trees are inviting spots to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Marcella Henry WHY HAVE WE RETURNED TO SCOTCH ON THE ROCKS FOR THE THIRD TIME? The ambience of Scotch on The Rocks draws you to return. It is a house that is tastefully decorated, inviting and amazingly comfortable. It’s an absolutely relaxing place that is spacious and can accommodate (comfortably) 10 to 12 people. It has all the amenities needed for a beautiful vacation . In addition to the beautifully appointed bedrooms and the bathrooms, there is a formal living and dining room and spacious outdoor veranda that goes from one end of the house to another with a variety of comfortable seating options . There is a new jacuzzi (added since last June), a beautifully maintained swimming pool, and then steps down toward the seaside, ending in tastefully decorated gazebo with everything you can need to enjoy the ocean, from kayaks to surfboards, along with a variety of floating devices for you to relax in the crystal clear water, so private , with no crowds. However what REALLY makes Scotch on The Rocks. so special is that from the moment you arrive in the driveway and are greeted by the smiling faces of all the staff, with nice cold face towels and a welcome cocktail or fruit juice to cool you off. Those smiles greet you every day and their willingness to please you is so amazing. They sure know what TEAM is all about and work together like a well-oiled machine, where every part knows what their function is as they communicate with each other. and support each other, seamlessly. They work hard at catering to each guest, nonstop! Let’s discuss the physical environment of Scotch on The Rocks. From the moment you enter the home it is spotless and immaculate. I would rate it as more than five stars and that’s because of Ms. Pat and O’Neil. O’Neil ensures every day that the pool and Jacuzzi are clean, sanitized and ready for us to enjoy laying out fresh towels. He prepares the Beach area and Gazebo to receives us and serves as back up in the Kitchen with whatever Chef Richard needs him to do. The rest of the house is kept spotless by the most warm and pleasant lady – Ms. Pat. She seems to walk on tippy toes, so you never hear her as she moves around quietly from room to room making magic as she tidies every room. . When she is through, each room becomes spotless, inviting. and beautiful and the home smells so fresh. She is like a White tornado When it’s your bedtime she turns down your bed covers, and provides each room a cool jug of iced water and fresh glasses for the night Then there is Akiem the major mixologist for Scotch On The Rocks. Any beverage you want made, he can do it whether it’s a Bob Marley drink , a virgin Pina Colada , Margarita ,Moscow Mule or a Jack Frost and prepares them with a great attitude, great pride. and that infectious smile. He’ll dance for you sometimes. He schedules appointments at the guests’ requests, for massages , manicures and pedicures. Two very important staff who makes every guests’ tummy happy and are very satisfied from all the gourmet meals that are prepared daily are Head Chef Richard and his Sous Chef Elvis. Together these gentlemen create some amazing, gastronomical meals that go beyond 5 Star! Mr. Elvis makes the most amazing hearty and healthy dinner salads dinner creating his own salad dressings for them;. At breakfast he creates and presents the most delicious platters of fresh tropical fruits, fit for a King or Queen! Chef Richard quietly creates such a variety of meals sometimes catering to diets for folks who are Lactose and Gluten intolerant with such ease and making all palettes very happy. If seafood, is the wish, Chef Richard can make it happen! He arranges with his local fisherman to get the freshest catch of items such as Lobster, Fish and Conch . He and Mr. Elvis will create Lobster Thermidor , Grilled Lobsters, Fried Escoveitch Fish; Seafood Paella, He creates appetizers of cream cheese, pepper jelly and chives with smoked fish, Conch & Codfish Fritters, They can put together and provide sumptuous meals that everybody can enjoy for breakfasts, lunch and dinner . THE STAFF are the HEART of Scotch On The Rocks, making it THE place to visit and the place to return to every time . They know HOW to make you feel good. On that last morning when it was time to leave, it was very difficult for us to say goodbye . No one wanted to leave.☹ We look forward to returning again and again and to refer others to Scotch on The Rocks It’s an amazing experience that one should have at least once in their lifetime . It’s called “A vacation in Paradise” Thank you Mrs. Mahfood (Caroline) for finding these gems as your staff . Continue to nurture them the right way. They are unbelievably valuable people.
