Good Morning Lisa,
I wanted to take time again to let the staff (and driver) know how much they contributed to a wonderfully relaxing stay. Shout outs abound for:
First – Oliver – there’s never a “want’ (unanticipated or even anticipated) that he doesn’t respond to IMMEDIATELY! He’s incredibly personable, warm, quietly engaging and ‘ever-present’. AND he’s fun to be with – the kids love him! Countless times I’d say to Oliver – “when you have a moment, can you please…” and that “moment” was never more than a few minutes of response time (no matter what he was already doing)!!
Next – Marvette – love her sweet presence and smile that greeted me every morning! I especially appreciated her “I’ll try” when I showed her a brown stain on a well-worn white shirt and asked if she thought it could be cleaned. AND I stressed it was a really old shirt and not to fret about it too much. NEXT DAY – my clean white shirt was neatly placed on my bed.
Then Caryl – our fabulous chef. His soups are to die for – always light and delicious! AND again – no “special” request is unheard and responded to. One of our favorite dishes is stewed oxtails – and it’s always a treat!
Also Sam, and the rest of the ‘supporting cast’ of staff behind the scenes. While their contribution often goes ‘unseen’ – it is highly visible in the absence of any unserved need for the villa overall !!
And finally – our driver Daniel King!!! Certainly excellence in this role runs in the family! While initially disappointed to learn that Gene (King) was no longer at Pharos – we were pleased to hear that his brother would be our driver instead. AGAIN – Daniel was “ever-present” – always on time, always focused on ensuring our safety (whether driving or accompanying us on our excursions, shopping etc). And loved spending extended time with him too!
