| Words are inadequate to describe our stay at Dreamtime. I had tears when I hugged Valentino farewell until next time. The property is beautiful and well maintained. But even more than that, the staff are beautiful and became family. I was nervous about the trip because i was hosting 10 of my closest family and friends for my 50th birthday girls trip. I spoke with Valentino the week before arrival and he assured me that we were staying at Dreamtime and he would take care of everything; all we had to do was relax. He meant what he said! His title is butler but that is a misnomer. He is so much more than that! He is attentive, caring, detailed-oriented, warm, friendly, intelligent with great conversation, calm, thoughtful, and has a great sense of humor. I could go on and on. It was unanimous that EVERYONE needs to experience the splendor of Valentino. It has been said that you may forget what a person has done for you, but you will never forget how they made you feel. Well, Valentino made us all feel very special and as a result he has 11 new fans in this world that will never forget him. Several of us have traveled extensively – Africa, Europe, Asia, South America, etc. – and we’ve never encountered the likes of Valentino before (this was also my 8th trip to Jamaica and I thought my stay at another villa last year was great but actually pales in comparison to my experience at Dreamtime.) In addition to Valentino, Chef Shaniece was extraordinary. We loved every meal! The jerk wraps, the rum cake, the curry chicken, the red velvet cake (that looked like it came from a bakery but was made by Shaniece!), the french toast, the omelets, the snapper dishes, the shrimp dishes, the ackee and saltfish….EVERYTHING was delicious!!! Gosh, I miss Shaniece! She has such a sweet spirit and was so easy to plan our meals with. After the first meal, I completely trusted her judgment and recommendations. She is amazing! Now, Christine and Suzane are also two gems! They are more than housekeepers. Upon arrival, they helped me put together the welcome bags and gifts for the ladies. I didn’t even ask; they just did it. They too are warm and loving people who just added to an incredible experience. I could not stop hugging them when it was time to leave! They went above and beyond for all of us and we are so grateful for them. Troy, the grounds keeper, is another wonderful person who we had the pleasure to interact with. He maintained the beauty of the property and was so very kind to all of us. Damien, our driver, was also amazing. He entertained us with stories and fun facts about Jamaica en route to our excursions. We had a beach day in Negril and he checked in to make sure all was well. A few of us went out one night to a club and we were comforted in knowing he was right outside if we needed him. I cannot say enough about this experience. We will be back! |
